The Pentecostal Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies is an Academic Institution within the "Chàrisma" Foundation which according to its own aims has planned to create this structure to give an answer to the needs and expectations of the Pentecostal world. From the Foundation the Faculty has received its juridical cover.
The idea to create a Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies comes from the need of specific training within the Pentecostal world which requires a certain flexibility in order to meet the need of theological education and the study of the religious phenomenon as such within a frame of a multicultural and intercultural world which are two distinctive characteristics of Pentecostalism today. As you know the religious scenario in our country becomes more and more multiethnic and therefore it is necessary to provide tools of analysis of the religious phenomenon understood as a globalized event. In this direction it is necessary to keep good relationships of research and cooperation with foreign and national Academic Institutions.
The educational offering is modelled on specific paths that aim to meet a wide range of needs with relation to the objectives of the students; cooperation with other Italian Faculties and Institutes aims to characterize our Faculty to the highest level both for the methodology and the contents of the formation.
The Faculty is certainly ranked among the Academic Institutions known as "trendy" and therefore it is specifically characterized on a religious level as it the adjective 'Pentecostal' denotes; however, it has a horizon of metaconfessional opening both from the point of view of acceptance of eventual non-Pentecostals students (but also of those, who are not characterized on a confessional level, and are interested to study at the Faculty) and from the point of view of lecturers who come from other cultural and theological settings.
